Kerry McBroom is the Director of the Reproductive Rights Unit at Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), New Delhi. Kerry oversees over 30 pending reproductive rights petitions in the State High Courts and Supreme Court of India and coordinates fact-finding missions, trainings, and advocacy strategies. Prior to joining HRLN, Kerry worked as a program manager for the Washington DC based Advocacy Project and the Council of Europe, where she headed a human rights outreach project for Roma women from France, Kosovo, and the Czech Republic. The final product was displayed at the Venice Biennale and the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Before working with the Roma community, Kerry served as a legal assistant at the Home for Human Rights in Colombo Sri Lanka, where she authored a report on access to reproductive health care on the country's tea estates. Kerry also has experience as a legal assistant at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), as a political organizer, and as a teacher for incarcerated youth. As part of a dual degree program, Kerry received her J.D. from American University in Washington DC and her Master I/II in Human Rights Law from Université Paris X, Nanterre in 2011. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Human Rights from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
